First of all, let's take a look at the packaging.
Is that adorable or what?! And super impressive for a drug store brand. Here is the palette open:
The palette is quite small, measuring about 4 inches long closed.
The swatches shown on my arm are in the same order they appear in the
palette, swatched dry without primer. The shades are not named.
The shadows are not super-pigmented, however they are buildable and blendable. All of the shadows have a shimmer finish. I would have liked if there were some mattes but this is, after all, a "shimmer strips" palette. The shadows can be used wet or dry, and as you will find with most shadows you get a much better color payoff if used wet. Below is a look I created using the three darkest shades as well as the lightest. I also used NYX Eyeshadow primer and Rimmel Scandal-Eyes Mascara in Extreme Black.
This is a decent palette for the money, especially if you wait for a sale. While I wouldn't say it is comparable in quality to the UD Naked palette, for instance, it is a nice little gem to tuck in your purse to create some nice neutral looks. Using eyeshadow primer and a wet brush will maximize the color payoff with this adorable little palette.
Thank you so much for reading!
All the best,
